Robar custom firearm finishing is backed by in-depth study of the operation of firearms in the defensive role, practical competition, and operations in natural environments. Knowledge gained from personal experience in police confrontations, military actions and field conditions around the world aid Robar technicians in designing the best coatings possible. We have custom finishes, including multi-colored and combination finishes to suit the most discriminating shooter. Each finish is applied within stringent parameters and tested for quality and compliance. Staff associates are comprised of highly qualified gunsmiths, metallurgists and chemical engineers to guarantee superior craftsmanship, metals and technology. We have the most current equipment, including a fully equipped test and research laboratory. Our processes are certified to aerospace standards and are regularly inspected for compliance, ensuring our customers of the highest possible quality finishes.

Poly-T2 NEW!
Robar is pleased to announce an exciting new finish specifically formulated for firearm applications: Poly-T2. Poly-T2 is a true advancement in firearm coatings and provides a dramatic increase in lubricity, abrasion resistance and all-around utility. After extensive real-world testing, we are now ready to add Poly-T2 to our line up of legendary firearm finishes. The ROBAR Companies, well known for offering premium finishes, has developed a new coating system to maximize the protection of firearms and components.

NP3 Plus
NP3 PLUS has all the attributes of our original NP3 firearm finish; however it offers far more corrosion resistance for marine and other hostile environments. Firearms and other equipment gain up to five times as much corrosion resistance over standard NP3 and up to ten times more than regular electroless nickel! NP3 PLUS is an excellent choice for protecting all firearms deployed in wet environments. This includes shipboard operations and environments where there is frequent exposure to rain, salt spray and high humidity. NP3 PLUS works great with our Roguard and Polymax finishes for a two-tone look, and carries a lifetime warranty.

NP3
Robar's NP3 finish is an electroless nickel-based finish for steel, stainless steel and aluminum alloys that co-deposits sub-micron particles of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), otherwise known as Teflon, with electroless nickel.

Roguard
Roguard is a molybdenum-disulfide based polymer finish specifically designed to provide lubricity and corrosion protection for metal components exposed to harsh environments. It is available as satin finish or a minimally reflective matte finish that will compliment the appearance of any firearm.

Polymax Camouflage
The technicians at The Robar Companies, Inc. have developed a procedure to apply a polymer coating to firearms. POLYMAX can be applied to steel, stainless steel, and aluminum surfaces. POLYMAX camouflage finish is available in Woodland, Urban and Desert (3 or 5 color) patterns.
