Poly T2 GreyRobar is pleased to announce an exciting new finish specifically formulated for firearm applications: Poly-T2. Poly-T2 is a true advancement in firearm coatings and provides a dramatic increase in lubricity, abrasion resistance and all-around utility. After extensive real-world testing, we are now ready to add Poly-T2 to our line up of legendary firearm finishes. The ROBAR Companies, well known for offering premium finishes, has developed a new coating system to maximize the protection of firearms and components.

Poly-T2 is a PTFE based modified epoxy coating specifically designed to provide lubricity and corrosion protection for metal components exposed to harsh environments and demanding service conditions. This new addition to the Robar legacy is not only the ultimate in protective finishes, it is also available in five different colors: black, tan, olive drab, dark green and gunmetal gray (see note below regarding color). The exceptional formulation of Poly-T2 provides the corrosion protection necessary to exceed 1000 hours salt spray exposure per ASTM-B-117.

This state-of-the-art finish also provides excellent abrasion protection and impact resistance while preventing corrosion, galling, seizing and fretting.  Poly-T2 is virtually unaffected by atmospheric and fretting corrosion, as well as exposure to solvents, acids, oils and degreasers, including all of the MIL-PRF-46010G Table 1 Test Fluids (see table for complete performance specifications). Whether your application is firearms, aerospace, defense or commercial components, Robar's Poly-T2 provides the maximum in lubrication, abrasion resistance, corrosion protection and chemical resistance. We are so confident in our Poly-T2 finish we offer a lifetime warranty.

Computers, monitors and web browsers all render colors slightly differently. While we have attempted to show the colors of our finishes as accurately as possible, there is a good chance that the actual color of the finish will be slightly different than what you see on your screen. Also, the black Poly-T2 has a brown tint when viewed in certain lighting (like direct sunlight). This is a function of the formulation being made as tough and protective as possible, if the color was changed to a true black the resulting coating would be much less durable.
